Mukwonago Wrestling Olympic Club points
We always encourage you to set some goals each season. Whether it’s
a region championship, the number of wins this season, the number
of tournaments you attend, or the number of pushups you hope to
be able to complete by the end of the wrestling season. They are
all goals. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner, or an
experienced wrestler; goal setting allows you to focus on objectives
that you want to achieve.
One way we will help you set those goals is with our Olympic
club points.
Olympic Club points will be awarded for a number of
things; practice attendance, attending tournaments, for pins,
wins and push-ups. These points will be tallied for the Awards
given away at our year-end celebration.
There are 3 levels of achievement:
Bronze level can be achieved at 40 points.
Silver - achieved with 55 points.
Gold - achieved with 70 points.
For middle school wrestlers, 25, 40, 55 points respectively
Practice:
There are a total of 6 points available by attending
practices. We will be awarding 1- Olympic point for every
5 practices that you attend, plus a bonus point for perfect
attendance. But you need to remember to sign in for every
practice.
Tournaments:
Any folkstyle-wrestling tournament you attend is worth
5 Olympic points. An addition point is given for each win,
with a bonus point given for a pin. So by simply attending
6 tournaments you will accumulate 30 points. In theory, in
one tournament you could accumulate 11 points.
Bonus Points:
From time to time we will be giving bonus points for
other activities such as our push up contest. Currently we
will be awarding 2 points every time you beat your personal
best by 5 pushups. Example; If you did 15 push-ups the first
week, you get 2 points for doing 20 pushups the second week,
2 more for 25, ect.
Your ultimate goal should be to practice to be at your best
for the Regionals in March.
Goal Setting Guideline
